Q. How do I access the full text for a specific journal article?

Answer:

If you can't link to the full text for a journal article within a specific database, here are a couple of searches you can try.

Run a journal search in Find It @ USC Libraries

Go to the Journal Search in Find It @ USC Libraries. Run a search for the title of the journal that the article is published in (not the article title). If we have online access to the journal, you can drill down to the particular volume and issue that the article appears in. View our Accessing E-Journals video to see an example.

Run a search for the article in Find It @ USC Libraries

Go to Find It @ USC Libraries. Run a search for the title of the article you are looking for (or just enter keywords that appear in the title of the article). If your article appears in the results, look for a green Available Online link to use to access the full text.

If the full text of the article is not available in Find It @ USC Libraries, you can request a copy of the article using Interlibrary Loan.
